Hello and thank you for visiting our farm.
We are Steve & Colleen McGale, proud owners of Royal Wood Meadows. Steve and I were married on August 7th, 2004.
While he is not a huge horse person he is very supportive and is trying to get involved. Steve and I have a beautiful
daughter, Alasia Marie, she seems to think that all of the horses are hers so we are hoping to find her a pony of her own
soon.
RWM was started in 1998. I fell
in love with my great uncle Leland's Arabians. He was a breeder in Southern Alberta for many years. He began giving
me horses when I was 12. I was the only one interested in Arabians, and at his age he knew he was not able to breed
much longer. At age 13 I took up dressage and it became my passion. When I was 16 my great uncle passed away he left me with his regional champion stallion, Ark Oshun (Jem Mar Khemoshun X Pan-Ark Klarah by Hurab), as well as the beautiful mare Daleena (Dal
Cabaret X Angeleena by Abu Alla) I wanted to carry on what he had worked so hard for, and thus, Royal Wood Meadows
was born. We have had many wonderful foals born here, most have gone on to amazing family homes and a few to show homes.
We have decided to focus on sport horse type Arabians that will excel in hunter/jumper, dressage and cross country.
We want to produce tall, athletic horses, without sacrificing the Arabian type. We have a good start with 3 fabulous
mares, 2 purebreds and a Dutch Warmblood mare. Our goal is to become the go to people for high quality Arabian
and half/Arabian sport horses.
We do not have a sales list, however if you see a horse
you are interested in please inquire.
Thank you for stopping by our online home! Please
feel free to contact us by email or phone for any questions or just to talk horses!
